Budget Calendar

The Budget Calendar page allows you to define the budget calendar for a property that can be used when creating a project. The budget calendar can span several years and can be used by multiple project and properties.

To open the Budget Calendar page:

  1. Open the Administration Menu page.

  2. Under the PROJECT ADMIN heading, click Budget Calendar.

Adding a budget calendar allows you to define the dates that will be treated as non-working holidays for performing SLA calculations. To create a new budget calendar:

  1. In the Budget Description field, enter a name for the budget calendar.

    The name you enter must be unique.

  2. Click ADD.

    The budget calendar is created. Additional fields appear allowing you to further define the budget calendar.

  3. To rename the budget, enter a value in the Rename field.
  4. Select the Default check box if you want this to be the default budget year for new projects, .
  5. In the Status field, select Active to make this budget calendar active.

    Inactive values remain in the system, but are not displayed to users.

    You cannot delete an existing budget calendar, but you can make it inactive so that users cannot access it.

  6. Add the budget years.

    You can add multiple years, if needed.

    1. In the Add Budget Year field, enter a numeric value identifying the budget year.
    2. In the Start/End fields, enter the start date and the end date for the budget year.
    3. Click ADD.
  7. Click UPDATE.

Budget calendars can be modified. To edit a budget calendar:

  1. In the Budget Calendar field, select the budget calendar you want to edit.

  2. To rename the schedule, enter a new name in the Rename field.

  3. To change the default status, select or clear the Default check box.
  4. To change the status, select a value from the Status field.
  5. To delete a budget year, click the DELETE button to the right of the year.:

    You cannot modify the name or dates associated with a budget year. You must delete the existing budget year and add a new one.

  6. Click UPDATE.

ClosedOther Options

The Other Options pane allows super administrators to propagate a budget calendar to all properties in a region or all properties in the system.

Note:

The Other Admin Options pane is only available to super administrators.

To propagate holiday schedules to other properties in a region:

  1. In the Budget Calendar field, select the budget calendar that you want to propagate.

  2. Select a region in the Add this format to the following Region field.

  3. Click ASSIGN.

    A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

  4. Click OK.

To propagate holiday schedules to all properties in the system:

  1. In the Budget Calendar field, select the budget calendar that you want to propagate.

  2. Click the ASSIGN button to the right of the Add this format to the all properties in the system label.

    A dialog box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

  3. Click OK.
